(Say it like Homer Simpson would!)
We love Applefest!
We wait all summer for it, and it's great fun for the whole family.
Come celebrate the autumn season at APPLEFEST in Historic Downtown Bowmanville, this Saturday, October 15th, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The annual Apple Festival and Craft Sale in Bowmanville celebrates all things apple. Four city blocks become a showcase for the many local apple growers who proudly offer up a wide variety of fresh picked apples and other goodies. You'll find fresh-pressed apple cider, homemade apple pies and crisps, candy and caramel apples, cider doughnuts , and so much more. Be sure to make a stop for those famous fresh hot apple fritters – Don't be discouraged by the long wait - they're well worth it!
It's also a great time to get some shopping done!
Unique handmade, high quality crafts and food products can be found in several large marquee tents and booths lining the street. All the while, enjoy performances by local musicians.
And, lots of things to see and do for the kids, including carnival rides, jumping castles, pony rides, and more.
Don't forget, you can also browse though the many independent shops and restaurants in Historic Bowmanville. They have plenty to offer at this harvest time of year.
All events offer FREE admission and FREE parking.
Brought to you by the merchants of Historic Downtown Bowmanville.
